How to Use the Calorie Counter

Fill in your age, gender, weight, height, activity level, and your weight goal. Press the ‘Calculate’ button to see your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and the daily caloric intake needed to reach your goal.

Explanation of the Calculator

The BMR is calculated using the Mifflin-St Jeor Equation:

  • For men: BMR = 88.362 + (13.397 * weight in kg) + (4.799 * height in cm) – (5.677 * age in years)
  • For women: BMR = 447.593 + (9.247 * weight in kg) + (3.098 * height in cm) – (4.330 * age in years)

This result is then multiplied by your Activity Level to get your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). The final daily caloric intake is adjusted based on your weight goal.
