How the Calculation is Done
The calculator uses the MET (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) method. Based on the speed calculated from the distance and time inputs, a MET value is selected for the calculation. The formula used is:
Calories Burned = MET value * weight (kg) * duration (hours)
