Calorie Calculator Chart – Indian Food

How to Use:

This calculator helps you determine the number of calories you need per day based on various parameters such as age, gender, weight, height, and activity level. Input your details into the fields provided and click the “Calculate” button to see your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE).

How It Works:

The Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is calculated using the Mifflin-St Jeor Equation, which is different for males and females. The formula for males is:
BMR = 88.362 + (13.397 x weight in kg) + (4.799 x height in cm) – (5.677 x age in years).
For females, the formula is:
BMR = 447.593 + (9.247 x weight in kg) + (3.098 x height in cm) – (4.330 x age in years).
The Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) is then calculated by multiplying the BMR by an activity factor which ranges from 1.2 for sedentary individuals to 1.9 for super active individuals.

Limitations:

While this calculator provides a good estimate of your daily calorie needs, individual metabolic rates can vary. Factors such as muscle mass, overall health, and unique metabolic differences can affect your true caloric needs. Consult with a healthcare provider or nutritionist for more personalized advice.
