About the Calorie Calculator
This calorie calculator estimates the number of calories you need to consume daily to maintain your current weight based on factors like age, gender, weight, height, and activity level.

How It Calculates
The calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor Equation to estimate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), which is then multiplied by an activity factor to determine your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). The activity levels and their corresponding multipliers are:
- Sedentary: BMR x 1.2
- Lightly active: BMR x 1.375
- Moderately active: BMR x 1.55
- Active: BMR x 1.725
- Very active: BMR x 1.9
