How to Use the Calorie Counter Pro

The Calorie Counter Pro allows you to estimate the number of calories you need to consume daily to maintain your current weight. Please follow these steps:

  2. Select your gender from the gender dropdown menu.
  3. Enter your height in centimeters in the height field.
  4. Enter your weight in kilograms in the weight field.
  5. Select your activity level from the activity level dropdown menu.
  6. Click the Calculate button to see your result.

How It Calculates the Results

The calorie counter uses the Harris-Benedict equation to calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), which is the number of calories your body needs at rest. It then multiplies this value by an activity factor based on your selected activity level to estimate your daily calorie needs.

  • Sedentary: BMR x 1.2 (little or no exercise)
  • Light: BMR x 1.375 (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week)
  • Moderate: BMR x 1.55 (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/week)
  • Active: BMR x 1.725 (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days a week)
  • Very Active: BMR x 1.9 (very hard exercise/sports & physical job or 2x training)
